It’s never too late to start. That is such a powerful phrase, and it’s true. In life, we are constantly learning and that should never stop. By the same logic, we should never stop trying new things and pushing the limits of our skill sets.
Ever since I can remember, I have been daydreaming about making money in my sleep.
I heard something years ago that I will never forget. While attending a conference hosted by Brad Sugars, he said, “I make more money selling my books while I sleep, than I do present to you”.
Not too long after that, I heard about tons of bloggers spending their time on social media, making sizeable amounts every year. Most were pulling in $200k to $300k annually and I thought one day, that could be me.
So how are so many people doing it? What is the secret formula they have discovered that the rest of us don’t know about. It’s called internet marketing.
But what is internet marketing?
Internet marketing can be defined as, “the design, development and advertising of products or services marketed to a global audience through the Internet.”
This is achieved by using one or more of the following strategies. These include but are not limited to email, search engine optimization, banner ads, and social media.
Personally, I saw the exponential growth in internet traffic, and thought there must be a way to make money from this.
So, I cast my net wide and started reading anything I could get my hands on. In my research, I discovered ClickBank. It is truly a bank of thousands of products ready for you to promote. You then add those products to your blog with the hopes that your web traffic will buy.
In reality, it’s much more psychological than that. People don’t like to be sold. Therefore, you must intertwine your ClickBank affiliate links in a way that appears to be an informational based recommendation to your community of followers.
By finding a niche interest that really gets you going, you can begin to assess the online interest and start to build your community.
No matter what your goal is, it is never too late to accomplish it. When it comes to breaking out of the daily grind, you owe it to yourself to start somewhere. Whether your 25 or 55, it’s never too late.
At some point, we all will look ourselves in the mirror and reflect on whether we gave everything we had to make our dreams come true. It doesn’t matter how old you are or what your circumstances are, if you can’t honestly tell yourself you gave it your best, how well can you really sleep at night.
How much inner peace can you really have known that you left the race with gas in your tank? Think about it! It’s never too late to get started!
